New Delhi: The IT sector is struggling with the problem of employees leaving their jobs (attrition rate) these days. Not only small IT companies but also giant IT companies like TCS, Infosys and Wipro, the same is the case. Wipro has prepared a unique plan to get rid of it. In order to keep the employees connected, Wipro has decided to give salary hikes and promotions every quarter i.e. every three months. Thierry Delaporte, Wipro's Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director gave this information in a press conference after the release of the June quarter's financial results. He said that in Wipro, now every employee will be given a quarterly promotion on a quarterly basis and it will start from July i.e. this month. Similarly, Wipro is also going to increase the salary of employees every three months. The benefits of this will start getting to the employees from the next quarter i.e. September. Delaporte further said, "The investment we have made in talent, I think it has started yielding results. We have announced the policy of giving promotions on a quarterly basis, which is quite new. Earlier, we were also working according to the annual cycle. Promotions on a quarterly cycle basis will come into effect from this month, while salary hikes for eligible employees will come into effect from September.''
