Hyderabad: Two women were arrested after they snatched a man's gold chain, who gave them a lift. The incident happened on Wednesday evening near Yamnampet crossroad in Hyderabad. According to source report the two accused women were remanded in judicial custody on Thursday. The victim was identified as Nujella Ravi Shekhar, an accountant who was in his way back to his home on a two-wheeler. The police official further added that the victim caught hold of the chain but it fell on ground. After which the accused picked it up and ran from the spot. However, passerby caught the women and handed over to the local police. The duo was arrested and sent to judicial remand. The gold chain was also recovered from the women. In another case reported from Hyderabad, a 19-year-old boy was arrested for attacking a 17-year-old girl with a sickle on Wednesday morning. The girl had rejected several proposals of the accused which led to the incident. The girl suffered multiple injuries, including a fracture on her skull and is currently being treated at a hospital. The police said that the boy knew the girl since childhood and had been pursuing her for more than a year.
