From humans to animals and birds, everyone has their own special place on our beloved earth. We all know that animals and birds have been an important link in the development of human civilization, but rapid development is emerging around the world as a threat to their existence. Therefore, it has become a big responsibility to pay attention to the conservation of animals. For this purpose, World Animal Day started on 4 October 1931 in Italy. After which this day is celebrated with enthusiasm all over the world.

Let us tell you that there is a reason behind choosing the date of October 4 for World Animal Day. This day is the festival of Saint Francis, the patron and saint of animals, so this day was chosen to make the animals aware of conservation. It is celebrated in different ways in every country. However, whatever may be the way of celebrating this day, but the aim of all is to improve the condition of animals and increase awareness about them.

For your information a website named World Animal Day has also been launched by the Naturewatch Foundation in 2003.
