New Delhi: The corona epidemic had completely ruined the year 2020. It was a year of anxiety, depression, loneliness, lockdown, illness, and death. But according to the World Happiness Report of 149 countries released on Friday, these epidemic levels also did not disown the expectation and enthusiasm of the people. The editors of the World Happiness Report 2021 found that even after the wastage of the corona in many countries, people's happy lives have been less affected. India is ranked 139th in this list of 149 countries. Last year, India was ranked 140th on the list, with the country leading by only one notch. The annual report of 149 countries sponsored by the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network is based on GDP per capita, healthy life experience, and people's opinions. The survey asked people some questions on a scale of 1-10. Like how much social support they received in adversity and according to them, how corrupt and generous people are. The first nine positions in the world's happiest countries are occupied by European countries. Finland is considered to be the happiest country in the world on the list. While Denmark on the second, Switzerland on the third, Iceland on the fourth, the Netherlands on the fifth, Iceland on the sixth, Norway on the seventh, Sweden on the eighth, and Luxembourg on the ninth position. New Zealand is the only non-European country to have made it to the top-10 with 10th. In the World Happiness Report, Finland has occupied the first position for the fourth consecutive time. The United States, which was ranked 13th five years ago, slipped from 18th place to 19th position. The country is ranked 17th on the list even after 1.25 million people died from corona in the UK.
