Jaipur: The world's third and India's second largest cricket stadiums are going to be built in Jaipur. A memorandum of understanding (MoU) will be signed between the Rajasthan Cricket Academy (RCA) and private company Hindustan Zinc regarding this. On the occasion of the Invest Rajasthan Summit 2022 organised by the state government, Anil Agarwal (Chairman Vedanta Group) announced cooperation in the International Cricket Stadium being constructed by RCA. Dr. CP Joshi (Speaker Rajasthan Legislative Assembly and Chief Patron RCA), Vaibhav Gehlot (President Rajasthan Cricket Association), etc. will be present at the MoU signing ceremony to be organised on the occasion of Rajasthan Day in RCA. As per the decision taken by RCA, after the MoU is signed, the stadium will be named Anil Agarwal International Cricket Stadium-Jaipur'. Under the leadership of Rajasthan Cricket chief Vaibhav Gehlot, the state government has allotted 100 acres of land to RCA at Delhi Road, Jaipur. The stadium is being constructed on this. The International Cricket Stadium being built by the Rajasthan Cricket Association in Jaipur will have a capacity of 75,000 spectators. After the completion of this grand stadium, it will be the third largest cricket stadium in the world and the second largest in India, in which spectators will be able to enjoy cricket matches. The construction work of this grand cricket stadium being built in Jaipur will be completed in two phases. The work of the first phase is under construction, in which a world-class stadium with a capacity of 40,000 spectators is being constructed. A total of Rs 400 crore will be spent on making it, of which Rs 300 crore will be provided by a private company (Hindustan Zinc Limited) and the remaining Rs 100 crore will be provided by RCA.
