Wrestler Deepak Punia test corona positive

COVID-19 virus infection has caused significant damage to sports. Now Indian players are also becoming its victim. After wrestler Babita Phogat found COVID-19 positive, Deepak Poonia, who is now preparing for Tokyo Olympics, also got COVID-19 infected. Free style wrestlers Deepak Punia, Krishna and Naveen COVID-19 have been found involved in the national wrestling camp for the preparation of the Games. Deepak has qualified for Tokyo Olympics.

On Wednesday, the COVID-19 investigation of wrestlers and staff involved in the camp was done. Now the COVID-19 positive of the three wrestlers has increased the stir in the Sports Authority of India. The team of doctors reached the spot and took all three into care. The national wrestling camp started from September 1. The wrestlers and staff who reached the camp have been quarantined.

On Wednesday, COVID-19 was investigated. When its report came on Thursday, Deepak, Krishna and Naveen got infected. All the wrestlers in the camp have been kept separate from the past. Only one wrestler is living in a room. In the evening the Health Department team reached Sports Authority of India Center. The health of infected wrestlers is being monitored. According to Sports Authority of India management, doctors will determine whether these wrestlers can be quarantined at the center itself or will have to be taken to hospital for treatment. With this, another player has been found infected.
