Cyclone Yaas has intensified into a severe cyclonic storm. According the the latest update, it will cross north Odisha coast around noon on May 26 as very severe cyclonic storm. Hundreds of people have been evacuated from coastal areas of both the states to safer places. The Odisha district administration of Balasore is evacuating people from cyclone-prone areas to shelters in Chandipur. A total 45 teams deployed in the State for rescue operation, says DG NDRF SN Pradhan.
