Yamaha's RayZR 125 hybrid scooter launched: Everything you need to know

Yamaha Motor India has revealed pricing for the RayZR 125 Hybrid scooter, which costs Rs 76,830, after the launch of the new YZF-R15 V4 and the Aerox 155 maxi-scooter (ex-showroom).

Earlier this year, the new RayZR 125 was unveiled for the first time. Standard Rear Drum, Standard Disc, and Street Rally are the three trim levels for the scooter. The cheapest model, the Standard rear drum, is priced at Rs 76,830 (ex-showroom), while the Standard disc costs Rs 79,830 and the top-spec Street Rally costs Rs 83,830. (ex-showroom).

The same air-cooled, fuel-injected (Fi), 125 cc blue core engine powers all three models of the new Yamaha scooter, producing 8.2 PS of maximum power at 6,500 rpm and 10.3 Nm of torque at 5,000 rpm. The scooter is equipped with a Smart Motor Generator (SMG) technology as well as a Hybrid Technology. When the scooter accelerates from a standstill, Yamaha's Smart Motor Generator (SMG) technology provides power assistance, according to the company. The assisted power provided by this feature stops after about three seconds from the start. When the Power Assist (Hybrid System) is active, the meter console additionally shows an alarm indicator. 

At the launch, Motofumi Shitara, Chairman, Yamaha Motor India group of companies said, “Yamaha has expanded its portfolio of Hybrid scooter options in India with the launch of the Hybrid version of the new RayZR 125 FI and Street Rally 125 FI. We are confident in further strengthening our position in the market with these additional options, after the overwhelming response to the Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid."
