Yogi government's big Raksha Bandhan gift to sisters, Free bus travel for women in UP

Lucknow: Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh has given great relief to the sisters on the occasion of Rakshabandhan. Women will be able to travel in all state transport buses on Monday for free. With this, the government has also decided to keep rakhi and sweets shops open. Due to Rakshabandhan on Monday, the Yogi government has taken this decision.

It is noteworthy that in order to prevent the spread of corona infection, there is a lockdown on every Saturday and Sunday in UP. The lockdown is applicable from 10 am Friday to 5 am Monday. But on Sunday, some relief has been given to the public by the government. CM Yogi Adityanath said that keeping in mind the Rakshabandhan festival, Rakhi and sweets shops will be open on Sunday. On behalf of the government, CM Yogi has been instructed to provide the facility of free bus travel to women in all the buses of UP State Road Transport Corporation on the festival of Raksha Bandhan, like this past three years.

Under this, free travel facility will be available to women passengers in all the buses of the corporation between midnight of Sunday from 12 noon to midnight of Monday (24 hours). The CM has also issued intensive patrol instructions to the police on the festival of Rakshabandhan.
