Young man entered Gurudwara wearing shoes, beat up students

Amritsar : The matter of sacrilege of Guru Granth Sahib has once again come to light in Punjab. This incident is related to the Gurdwara located in Morinda, Ropar. The video of this incident is also going viral on social media. It can be seen in the video that a Sikh man enters the Gurdwara and starts beating up the students sitting near the Guru Granth Sahib. During this the person was wearing shoes,and his hand also touched the Guru Granth Sahib.

 

As per reports, the incident took place on Monday (April 24). However, during this time the people present in the gurudwara caught the man and thrashed him fiercely. After this incident of sacrilege, tension spread in the area and people started protesting. There was a traffic jam on the road. The Punjab Police is interrogating the young man in custody. It is not yet revealed why he did all this? The CCTV footage of this incident which took place at Kotwali Sahib Gurdwara also started going viral on social media. This incident happened at 1:15 in the afternoon. The Sangat was engaged in chanting at that time, when a hairy young man came and threatened. He was wearing shoes. He also pointed to the students who were chanting Guru Granth Sahib and asked them to take them out. He jumped over the steel grill and reached there and started beating them. Also took off their turbans. 

After which people dragged that young man out of the Gurudwara, his picture has also appeared in the media. As soon as the police got information about the incident, they reached there. People says that until action is taken against the youth, they will continue the protest. Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) chief Harjinder Singh Dhami has also demanded strict action. CM Bhagwant Mann has also said that the law will not spare those who condemn. Former Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has also condemned the incident.
