Bengaluru: Zoom Video Platform is now in the process of setting up a technology center in Bengaluru. An official announcement has also been made in this regard. It was also said that the opening of the new center will create employment opportunities for young technical experts of India. Zoom Video Communications said on Tuesday that it is going to open a new technology center in Bengaluru to increase its dominance in India. Appointments for important posts will also be made in the next few years. The company said in a statement that the decision has been taken after the large-scale adoption of Zoom by users across India. The statement said, "Between January to April 2020, Zoom's free subscriber sign-ups in India have increased by 6,700 percent. The company said that it already has an office in Mumbai and also has two data centers. The company said the expansion in Bengaluru would support its existing research and development centers. Zoom said it chose Bangalore because of its exceptional engineering and IT talent and would soon hire engineers, IT, security, and business operations professionals. The company also said that until the condition of the coronavirus improves, its employees will work from home. The company said, "India is a strategically important country for Zoom and we hope to continue to grow and invest here."
