NEW DELHI: Zydus Cadila, an Ahmedabad-based vaccine maker, stated on Wednesday that it has begun supplying the Centre with Covid vaccine ZyCoV-D. "The business has begun supplying its Covid-19 vaccine, ZyCoV-D, to the Government of India in response to their request from its newly-commissioned state-of-the-art Zydus Vaccine Technology Excellence Centre at the Zydus Biotech Park in Ahmedabad," Zydus said in a statement.It also intends to make the vaccine available on the private market, according to the statement. ZyCoV-D is a three-dose vaccine given intradermally on days 0, 28, and 56 utilising the painless PharmaJet needle-free technology. It will cost Rs 265 each dose, with the applicator costing Rs 93 per dose, minus GST.
