Mumbai: A painful news has been heard from Bhandara in Maharashtra. 10 newborns have lost their lives in a government hospital fire here. Civil surgeon Dr Pramod Khandate of the district hospital told 'Media' that 17 newborns were kept in the children's ward. Late Saturday night a nurse was seen emitting smoke from this ward. After which came to know about this incident.
According to the information received, how complete it is from Bhandara district of Maharashtra. Where a fire occurred at the Sick Newborn Care Unit (SNCU) due to a late-night short circuit at the district hospital. There were a total of 17 children in this ward. Seeing the smoke coming out, the nurses and the people of the hospital rushed to the ward. But by then 10 newborns lost their lives. It has been learned that in this ward, only those children are kept, whose condition is fragile, whose weight is also very less.
At the same time, it is being said that seeing the smoke rising in the SNCU, the nurse on duty opened the door of the ward and immediately the hospital officials were informed about this. After which the fire brigade that arrived at the incident started a rescue operation with the help of people in the hospital, in which 7 children were rescued. On the other hand, after this painful death of newborn children, their families are in a weeping condition. A crowd of people has gathered outside the hospital. People are appealing for action in case of fire. Many people are calling it a hospital's negligence.
