Nawada, Today, police seized ten rifles and 50 live cartridges from Sharda Mica Mines in Maoist-affected Sapahi village of Bihar's Nawada district. Superintendent of Police Vikas Barman said that 10 people have been detained in this connection.

SP added, that an investigation is underway to ascertain whether the arms seized are legal or not.

He said, "the raid was a joint operation of Forest Department officials, Sashashtra Seema Bal (SSB) and local police".

Sapahi village, under Rajauli police station limits, has sheltered Maoists.
