In the last few years, a number of efforts have been made on clean energy due to threats like global warming and climate change. In this regard, for the last 10 years, the world's largest magnet was being developed which can transform the earth in many ways. The magnet is part of a giant machine, the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER), and aims to build sun-level energy on earth. The magnet will be 59 feet long and 1 feet in diameter. The magnet will also weigh 1000 tonnes.

The same magnet has been designed and manufactured by General Atomics. The magnet will be so powerful that it will be able to lift even a 1000 feet long and 1 lakh tonne aircraft carrier six feet above the ground. The strength of this magnet can be gauged from the way it will be 2 80,000 times more powerful than the magnetic field of the land.

Also, the name of this magnet is Central Solenoid. And it was being built in the US city of California and will now be sent to France. Funding has also been drawn from countries like China, Japan, Korea, India, Russia, UK and Switzerland to build this giant conspiracy and the machine has been completed up to 75 per cent. Central Solanoid will play an important role in the creation of Fusion Energy of ITER as this magnet will flow powerful current into plasma which will greatly help in controlling and shaping this fusion reaction.
