Hyderabad: Telangana state health department has reported 299 new cases of corona virus till 8 pm on Saturday night. The total number of patients affected by Covid-19 in the state increased to 2,91,666, of which 2,85,898 were completely cured. And two people died, the death toll reached 1,577. Currently there are 4,191 active cases, of which 2,395 are alone.

The positive cases recorded across the state are 57 GHMC, 26 from Medchal Malkajgiri, 24 from Karimnagar, 18 from Ranga Reddy, 11 from Mancheriyal and Srirangam Kothagudem, 10 Warangal Urban, Khammam and 8 Peddapalli.

The vaccination campaign began on Saturday at 139 centres in the state. The government has targeted 4296 people on the first day, but 3962 people were vaccinated. Scavenger S Krishnama was first vaccinated in Gandhi Hospital.

In the Greater Hyderabad (GHMC) area, 947 people were vaccinated in 34 centres against the 1020 target. 73 people did not participate in the vaccination campaign. Adilabad, Jaganmohan, Jaishankar Bhupalpalli, Gadwal, Karimnagar, Komaram Bhim, Mehboobabad, Manchriyal, Nagarkurnool, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Rajanna Sirsilad, Vikarbad, 100% vaccination was done in 16 districts of Telangana.
