NEW YORK: In a historic moment, the Centenary episode of India Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s monthly radio programme ‘Mann Ki Baat’ will be broadcast live in the United Nations headquarters in New York.

“Get ready for a historic moment as the 100th episode of Prime Minister Narendra  Modi’s "Mann Ki Baat" is set to go live on April 30th in Trusteeship Council Chamber at UN HQ!” the Permanent Mission of India to the United Nation said in a  statement of tweet.

“The 100th episode of PM Modi’s monthly radio broadcast will air at 11 a.m. Indian Time on April 30, which will be 1:30 a.m. Sunday in New York. The live broadcast of the programme in Sunday (April 30)   early horus in the United Nation  headquarters will be historic and unprecedented. It will be broadcast  in the UN’s Trusteeship Council Chamber.

MannKiBaat has become a monthly national tradition, inspiring millions to partake  in India’s developmental voyage,” the Permanent Mission said.


At a special event on Sunday at 1:30 a.m., the Indian Consulate General in New York will be joined by community organisations to broadcast the 100th episode of "Mann Ki Baat" for the Indian-American and diaspora community in New Jersey.

Prime Minister Modi addresses the nation's citizens on many subjects during the radio programme "Mann Ki Baat," which he hosts. It debuted on October 3, 2014, and now airs on the whole All India Radio (AIR) and Doordarshan (DD) network every last Sunday of the month at 11 a.m. On April 30, the 30-minute show's 100th episode will premiere.
