Jaipur, a panther attacked on a minor girl and jumped off the roof with the 12-year old in his grip. Circle officer (Kumbhalgarh) Chandan Singh said, "Ravina was sleeping on the terrace with her mother and other family members when a panther came and caught the girl by her neck and dragged her.

The panther climbed the boundary wall and jumped with the girl in its grip but the girl fell down". He added that, after hearing the cries of the girl, her parents rushed to rescue her.

The panther ran away and the girl was rushed to a doctor who declared her dead.

An incident occured in a village near Kumbhalgarh which is close to forest area having movement of panthers.
