It is said that on the same day of Baisakhi, the tenth and last Guru of Sikhs, Gobind Singh established the Khalsa Panth and in addition to this, this festival is celebrated as Sankranti on this day when the Sun enters Aries. 

If we follow Hindu beliefs, then the journey of Lord Badrinath begins in the month of Baisakh. Not only this, this festival is also considered very important from the perspective of astrology. Actually, the beginning of solar new year is also considered from this day. In many parts of the country, it is known by different names like Baisakhi is celebrated as Bihu in Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Assam.
