Islamabad: Covid-19's havoc continues to grow in neighbouring country Pakistan as well. In the last 24 hours, 1,487 new cases have been recorded. Now the total number of infected people in the country has reached above 2 lakh 71 thousand. National Health Service Department said that a total of more than 2 lakh 36 thousand people have been cured of this disease.

A maximum number of cases registered in Sindh: Out of total infected cases in the country, 116,800 records have been recorded in Sindh. On the other hand, more than 91 thousand in Punjab, over 33 thousand in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, 14 thousand in Islamabad, 11 in Balochistan, 2,012 in Pakistan occupied Kashmir and 1,942 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

After the identification of 1,487 new patients in the last 24 hours, the total number of COVID-19 cases in the country has reached 2 lakh 71 thousand, whereas due to infection, more than 5 thousand people have lost their lives. The situation of 1 thousand 294 patients in the country remains critical. In the country, treatment of 29,503 patients is still going on at home or various hospitals. Officials have so far conducted a total of 1,844,926 tests, including 23,630 in the last 24 hours.
