Get ready for the 14th National Voters' Day (NVD) celebration on January 25, 2024! Every year on this day, the entire nation comes together to highlight the significance of each vote in a democracy. This time around, the theme for the NVD celebrations is "Nothing like voting, I vote for sure." As we gear up for the 14th National Voters' Day on January 25, 2024, exciting activities are in store.
To kick off the festivities, all offices under the UT Administration of Ladakh, Autonomous Bodies, and various organizations are instructed to take the NVD pledge (see enclosed copy) at approximately 11:00 AM on January 25, 2024. Schools and educational institutions are also encouraged to participate by organizing activities like debates, discussions, and competitions, ranging from drawing and skits to songs and essays.
To spread the message about the importance of voting, the National Voters' logo should be appropriately utilized on official stationery, merchandise, websites, and more. Don't forget to capture the moments—share photographs of these events and activities using the hashtag #NVD2024 on social media handles or websites.
Heads of Departments of the Government, Autonomous Bodies, and Public Sector undertakings in Leh and Kargil districts are directed to organize the reading of the voters' pledge in their respective offices on January 25, 2024. The UT Secretariat Leh will witness the NVD pledge being taken by the Advisor to Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor, Ladakh, at 11:00 AM sharp on January 25, 2024, at the parking ground.
