This thing has settled in my mind and brain." Rani told how Sanjay Leela Bhansali has influenced her life and her career. She said, "Every morning I feel very thankful that I can see, hear, speak because as humans we take these things lightly and I think people God should always be thankful for this."

She further said on the experience of working in this film, 'I learned a lot during this film. That period was a period of learning in my career and during that time I got an opportunity to work with my favorite director Sanjay Leela Bhansali. I like his vision very much, the way he directs things on the set is fantastic and he used to make me feel very special on the set as well. We both used to eat excellent food together. Sanjay used to say that when Rani eat food well, you give good shots. Maybe that's why he used to try to feed me good food."

Talking further, Rani said, "I have a lot of great memories with Black and the most special thing is that with this film I got the opportunity to work with Amitabh Bachchan. I used to notice him on the set and kept watching his dedication, so I was a student on the set of this film. In this sense, Black will always remain a special film for me. Although this film proved to be a commercial success, but according to me, the memories that I have made while shooting this film are very special for me and I will cherish those memories throughout my life."
