15-Year-Old Boy Dies from Electrocution While Swimming in Chembur Well

Mumbai: A 15-year-old boy tragically lost his life due to electrocution while swimming in a well in Mumbai's Chembur area on Saturday, according to police officials.

The incident occurred in the Mahul village of Chembur. Mumbai Police reported that the electrocution was caused by an illegally installed motor in the well, set up by a nearby hotel to extract water. This unlawful setup led to the fatal accident.

A case of culpable homicide has been registered against the hotel owners: Anant Mahulkar, Dayaram Mahulkar, and Hariram Mahulkar. Police sources confirm that all three individuals have been arrested and are currently in police custody until June 18.
