Mumbai: A shocking incident has come to light from Maharashtra. A 9-year-old girl was raped by a 15-year-old here and later hacked to death by slitting her throat, police said today. The incident took place on a high-profile society campus adjacent to ST Agar near Kalyan railway station. After this incident, the police registered a case under the POCSO Act and caught the minor culprit. The body of a nine-year-old girl was found in the premises of New Monica Society adjacent to the ST depot in the Kalyan West area on Thursday morning.

As soon as the incident was reported, the police reached the spot. The police team reached the spot and registered a case against unidentified criminals and started an investigation. When the investigation team started exploring CCTV nearby, a minor was identified.

The police identified the culprit minor and found him within an hour and took him into custody and brought him to Mahatma Phule police station. In the police interrogation, the minor criminal said that a few days ago, the girl's father had assaulted the minor. Since then, he was trying to avenge this from the girl's father. To take revenge on the father, he hatched a plan, under which the minor first abducted the 9-year-old girl and then raped her. After the rape, he slits the girl's throat with a blade and killed her. The shocking thing is that this is the area where there is a movement of people 24 hours. At the same time, Mahatma Phule police have registered a case against the criminal minor under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act and sent the culprit to the juvenile home and are investigating further.
