In this sequence, the police seized 170 cartons of foreign liquor brought for consumption in Durga Puja in Begusarai from a container. A smuggler has also been arrested by the police in this case.

In fact, in the Kanwar Lake area of Manjhaul police station area, the police had received information that a large consignment of liquor was landing. On this news, the Manjhaul police station laid a siege and raided from where more than 170 cartons of liquor were recovered from a container of Rajasthan number. The police conducted the raid at night. In addition to the container, cartons of liquor have also been seized at various places in the field. Police have arrested Gautam Kumar, a resident of Dumri village in Begusarai.

At present, the police are finding out where the consignment of liquor was brought and who was involved in it. SP Yogendra Kumar said that this action has been taken on the basis of secret information in which 170 cartons of liquor have been confiscated from the container of Rajasthan number. Action is being taken after identifying those involved in bringing liquor. The market value of the seized liquor is said to be around Rs 20 lakh. There was a preparation to bring the seized liquor from Rajasthan to Begusarai and consume it in Durga Puja, but the police recovered it before that.
