2 Madrassa boys of Delhi beaten up and assaulted for not chanting 'Bharat Mata ki jai'

New Delhi: A group of men in outer Delhi beaten three alleged madrassa students who refused to chant 'Bharat Mata ki jai' on Saturday. the officials said that the students have identified two of the attackers as Pintu and Sahil, who live in the neighbourhood.

18 years old Mohammad Dilkash one of the victims said, five men who had been drinking in a public park, beat them with sticks and  broke his arms in the attack on Saturday evening after demanding that the students chant the slogan. The victims study at a local madrassa and had gone to the park during a break.

Earlier, Delhi cop recorded the victims' statements and said they were verifying certain details and registered an FIR in the case on Tuesday night. Police said the victims had initially told them that they were asked to chant 'Jai Mata ki'.
