A new case of crime has emerged from Mangaluru which has surprised everyone. The case is being reported from Dakshina Kannada district of Karnataka, where two persons committed suicide due to lack of alcohol during lockdown. In this case, the police said that 'both incidents took place on Saturday in Kadba taluka'. According to the news, Tommy Thomas (50), a rubber laborer in Kutrupadi village of Taluka, committed suicide by hanging himself in his rented house on Saturday.
According to information received in this case, Thomas, a resident of Kottayam in Kerala, started rubber extraction a month ago and locals said that Thomas had been wandering around in search of liquor for the past few days and he was not even working. Not only this, his body has been kept in the morgue of a hospital and in another incident a 70-year-old man resident of Kodimbala village allegedly committed suicide by hanging from a tree.
In this case it has also been reported that the deceased has been identified as Thomas, who left his family here and moved to Kerala 30 years ago and was working there. Assuming the information received, he came back here a few years ago and the sources attached to him said that the deceased was addicted to alcohol, the police have registered a case and started investigation.
