Srinagar: 2 Pakistan Army soldiers killed in a retaliatory firing by the Indian Army in response to ceasefire violations from across the Line of Control.

The Pakistani jawans who were firing in Indian territory got a befitting reply from Indian soldiers. As a result, four posts of Pakistan were destroyed and two soldiers were killed. Those who died included a lance hero and a soldier. This number may also increase because military sources say that three to four more soldiers present in the Pakistani post are also seriously injured. The Pakistani Army has also confirmed the death of two of its soldiers.

According to information received from military sources, at 10 pm Pakistani troops opened fire, targeting Indian posts in Mankot sector along the Line of Control in Poonch district. Indian soldiers immediately retaliated by taking their positions. Indian soldiers understood that Pakistani soldiers are once again resorting to firing in the dark of night for the purpose of infiltrating terrorists. In such a situation, vigilant soldiers of India issued an alert in all the areas along the border so that terrorists do not infiltrate on this side under the cover of shelling.
