Islamabad: Strong tremors were felt in the Harnai area of Pakistan this morning. At least 20 people have died in the earthquake, according to Pakistani media. Around 150 people have been reported injured. At the same time, many houses have also been damaged. The intensity of the earthquake was very high and damage is being reported in several nearby districts.

In Pakistan, a strong earthquake struck the Harnai region early this morning. The magnitude of the earthquake was recorded at 6.0 on the Richter scale. According to the National Centre for Seismology, the tremors occurred at 3.30 am. Harnai belongs to Balochistan in Pakistan. Heavy machinery has been dispatched from Quetta to assist the people and rescue operations. They are expected to reach Harnai in two to three hours. The injured persons are currently being treated at Harnai hospital.

 

According to visuals coming from Pakistani media, Harnai hospitals do not have electricity. The family members of the injured persons are undergoing treatment in the light of a mobile flashlight. According to officials, the impact of the earthquake is in many districts and it is not possible to indicate the exact number of injured.
