Bangalore: Around 200 Arabic schools belonging to the state education department in Karnataka were surveyed. The survey revealed that most of the schools are not following the guidelines given by the education department of the government. State School Education Minister BC Nagesh has said that 'We have received complaints that the students of these schools are not able to compete with the students of other schools as they do not have a proper standard of education.'

Earlier, BC Nagesh had said that 'We have decided to survey those schools and have found that most of the Arabic schools are not following the rules set by the state education department. We have asked the Assistant Commissioner to review it and will take action after getting the report.' At the same time, before this, the Education Minister had expressed his opinion on the decision of the Supreme Court on the Hijab case as well. In his response, Karnataka Education Minister BC Nagesh said that he welcomes the Supreme Court's decision, but he expected a better verdict as women across the world are demanding not to wear the hijab. However, he had said that the hijab would continue to be banned in classrooms in educational institutions that enforce the dress code.

Let us inform you that after a hearing in the apex court on the hijab case, Justice Hemant Gupta and Justice Sudhanshu Dhulia gave separate verdicts. While Justice Gupta upheld the Karnataka High Court's decision, Justice Dhulia overruled it.
