Amidst the lockdown and corona crisis, automobile companies are slowly starting production at their dealerships and plants. The 2020 Thar seen during the test has been seen as a production model. It gets halogen headlamps, 5-spoke alloy wheels, new bumpers, wing mirrors and fender mounted turn indicators. The top version is seen in spy shots. The new Mahindra Thar has a typical boxy silhouette, which makes it look different and bigger. Pictures of the interior have not been revealed, but many upgrades will be done to the cabin and the company will include better equipment besides comfortable seats. Features such as touchscreen infotainment system, auto climate control, dual front airbags, rear parking sensors and speed alert system will be given.

Talking about power and specifications, then Mahindra Thar will be given company petrol and diesel engine which will be in line with BS6 norms. Petrol engine will be given 2.0 liter turbo mStallion and diesel will be given 2.2 liter turbo engine. Both engines are equipped with a 6-speed manual gearbox.
