Mumbai: A shocking case is coming out from Mumbai, Maharashtra where a 75-year-old man became a victim to an unfortunate incident in the swimming pool located here. A 20-year-old man jumped to his death while swimming. On Monday, the Goregaon police registered a case against the man under section 304 (A) of the Indian Penal Code. Apart from this, more information is being gathered about the incident by discussing with the staff.
According to a report received, the incident took place at Ozone Swimming Pool in Goregaon, Mumbai on Sunday evening. The deceased has been identified as Vishnu Samant. It is reported that 72-year-old Samant lived with his 72-year-old wife in Goregaon East. He was going to the swimming pool at Siddharth Nagar every day between 5 to 6 in the evening for the last one month. Went out for swimming on 23rd April also at around 4.30 pm. Due to this, 14-year-old grandson Neil was also with him. Shortly after reaching the pool, Neel reports at home that the old man has fainted.
The pool staff took him to Kapadia Hospital. His sister reached the hospital at 6.15 pm and got information that Samant had passed away. A police officer said, 'He had injuries on the neck and other parts of the body. He was declared dead on reaching the nearest hospital. On the complaint of the wife, a case has been registered against the 20-year-old. It is being told that he had jumped over the old man from a height. '
