Chandigarh: Riyana Health Minister Anil Vij said that out of 76 residents of the state who had returned from America, 22 people were found to be coronavirus positive. Earlier this week, 76 people from Haryana were involved in a group of around 160 Indian nationals who arrived in Amritsar in Punjab by a special aircraft. Vij told the press that "out of these 76 people, 22 people have been found infected with the Coronavirus".

Indore: This area could not recover from Corona even after two months

After being deported from the US and arriving in India earlier this week, Vij said the corona test would be done before these people were sent to isolation in their home districts. After this, 76 residents of Haryana were brought to Panchkula where they were subjected to corona test and other medical tests. Those whose investigation report has come negative will be quarantined in their home districts while 22 people infected with Coronavirus will be treated at the hospital in Panchkula.

Earlier on Saturday, 64 new cases of coronavirus infection were registered in Haryana, including 22 Indian nationals brought home from the US recently. The total cases of Covid-19 infection in the state has increased to 1,131.
