Covid-19 new 238, death toll rises to 1,551.

Hyderabad : The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has registered a maximum of 60 new cases, according to a bulletin released on Monday. This is followed by 26 in Rangareddy and 20 in Warangal urban areas. While there are 2,87,740 active infections in the state, so far 2,81,083 have been cured from this infection.

In the last 24 hours, 238 new cases of Covid-19 have occurred in Telangana and two have died due to infection. Currently 5,106 patients are being treated and 27,077 samples were tested on Sunday. According to the bulletin, more than 7 million samples have been tested so far. More than 1.88 lakh samples were tested for a population of 10 lakh. The mortality rate due to infection in the state is 0.53 per cent, while nationally it is 1.4 per cent. The recovery rate in Telangana is 97.68 per cent, while in the country it is 96.2 per cent.

In India, 16,504 new cases of corona virus were reported in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases here to 1,03,40,469. During this period, 214 people died due to Covid-19, bringing the total death toll to 1,49,649. The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare gave the information on Monday. This is the third time since June 23 and December 28 that Covid's daily cases have reached 16,000.

The number of people actively infected in the country is 2,43,953. So far 99,46,867 patients have recovered from the disease. The recovery rate was 96.16 percent, while the death rate was 1.45 percent. To this day Maharashtra remains the most affected state. The highest number of cases came from Kerala, West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Uttar Pradesh. Five states, namely Kerala, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal and Chhattisgarh, are contributing to the total number of active cases.
