Bhubaneswar: The total number of infected people in the state rose to 57,126 after a record 2,496 new cases of coronavirus were reported in Odisha on Saturday. A health department official said that after the death of 9 more patients, the death toll due to coronavirus in the state has increased to 333. As many as 1,521 more patients have been cured in the state, which has brought the total number of healthy people in the state to 40,727. The rate of recovery of infected people in the state is 71.29 percent. Now treatment of 16,013 patients is going on in the state.
The new cases of corona infection that have been reported, 1,591 people were living in different habitat centers, while 905 other infected people have been detected during the investigation of the contacts of the corona infected people. New cases have come out of 29 districts of the state. The officer told this time that the highest number of 378 new cases has come out in Khurda. After this, 327 cases have been reported in Ganjam, 165 in Baleshwar, 156 in Sundergarh, 146 in Raigadha and 133 in Koraput. Health and Family Welfare Department tweeted, "It is being reported with great sadness that 9 more patients of Corona infected who were undergoing treatment in hospitals died. ''
Out of 9 more people who died due to corona infection, 4 people died in Sambalpur and 2 people died in Cuttack. Apart from this, 1-1 people have died in Ganjam, Keonjhar and Nayagarh. Apart from this, 53 more people have died due to corona infection in the state, but they have died due to other reasons.
