Lucknow: The number of people who died in a tragic accident on Sunday at the crematorium ghat in Muradnagar in Ghaziabad district of Uttar Pradesh has risen to 25. In this case, the administration has registered an FIR against several people, including the contractor, the municipal executive officer. Three people have also been arrested in this case so far. Three people, including EO, have been arrested, while the contractor is still being reported as absconding.

The Ghaziabad police have arrested Niharika Singh, Junior Engineer Chandrapal and Supervisor Ashish of Muradnagar Municipality. While the accused contractor is still absconding. These are the people whose negligence overshadowed more than two dozen lives in Muradnagar in Ghaziabad. The Ghaziabad police have lodged an FIR against some others, including these four. This had happened when people arrived at the crematorium for the funeral of a man. Actually, Dayaram, who lives in Dayanand Colony, died on Saturday night due to illness. The family reached a crematorium in Muradnagar on Sunday for his funeral. Relatives and around 100 people from the vicinity had reached the ghat at the funeral. Due to the rain since morning, people were standing inside the building in the crematorium. Then suddenly the ground subsided and the wall sat and the roof collapsed.

It is being told that substandard material was used in the construction work of the crematorium ghat gallery. People had also complained to the municipality and the administration. Not only this, but the former municipality's husband had also stopped the construction work by alleging inferior material. In October, a pillar was erected and a letter was put on them. The shuttering was removed from the letter a few days ago. Locals allege that the gallery was built 50 feet long and 23 feet wide. The pillars that were made to put up the letter had a weak foundation. Because of this, the rainwater from Sunday morning went to the foundation and the pillars fell.
