BHUBANESHWAR: Following the train tragedy in Balasore, a special train carrying trapped passengers from Odisha's Bhadrak has departed for Chennai.

At all of the designated stations for train number 12841, the special train C P13671 EX-BBS-MAS, carrying 250 passengers, would stop. It began running at 8:40 AM on Saturday. According to a formal statement, the special train is likely expected to arrive at Chennai Central Railway station around 9 AM on Sunday.

Army forces have also been sent in to help with the evacuation and medical care of injured residents following the quadruple railway tragedy in Odisha, which resulted in 238 fatalities. In order to get to the scene of the event as quickly as possible, the teams have reportedly been routed from many bases, said the Indian Army.
