Balasore: Following a significant catastrophe in Balasore, Odisha, where three trains crashed, killing 233 people and injuring almost 900 others, many trains have been cancelled while others have been rerouted.

The following is a list of cancelled trains:  18044 Bhadrak - Howrah Express from Bhadrak, 20890 Tirupati-Howrah Express from Tirupati, 12551 Bangalore - Kamakhya AC SF Express from Bangalore, 12864 Bangalore - Howrah Express from Bangalore, 12253 Bangalore - Bhagalpur Anga Express, 08411 Balasore -Bhubaneswar special from Balasore, 08415/08416 Jenapur-Puri-Jenapur from both the direction and 08439(Puri-Patna special from Puri).

This is a list of trains that were diverted: On June 2, 2023, the 12246 Bangalore-Howrah Express will depart from Bangalore and go through Naraj-Angul-Sambalpur City-Jharsuguda and the 12503 On June 2, 2023, the Bangalore-Agartala Express will go via Vizianagaram-Titilagarh-Jharsuguda, taking 12864 miles. On June 2, 2023, the Bangalore-Howrah Express will depart from Bangalore and go through Naraj-Angul-Sambalpur City-Jharsuguda, 18048. On June 2, 2023, Vascoda Gama-Shalimar will run via Cuttack-Angul-Sambalpur City-Jharsuguda, 15630. On June 2, 2023, the Silghat Town-Tambaram Nagaon Express will depart from Silghat Town and go through Jharsuguda, Sambalpur City, Angul, and Cuttack (7029) On June 2, 2023, a dedicated route from Agartala to Secunderabad would travel through Jharsuguda, Sambalpur City, Angul, and Cuttack. On June 2, 2023, the Tiruchchirappalli-HWH Howrah Express would depart Tiruchchirappalli and go via Vizianagaram-Titilagarh-Jharsuguda, according to the Kharagpur Division notice.

On June 2, 2023, the 15630 Silghat-Tambram Express will travel via Asansol-Chandil- Rourkela-Jharsuguda-Sambalpur City-Angul-Cuttack; on June 2, 2023, the 07029 Agartala-Secunderabad Express will travel via Bhattanagar-Khargpur-Tatanagar-Jharsuguda-Sambalpur City

In addition, the 18046 Hyderabad - Shalimar East Coast Express from Hyderabad on June 3, 2023, will be rescheduled for 3 hours. "Accident Relief trains with medical equipment and doctors have rushed to the site from Kharagpur and Bhadrak, the Kharagpur Division notification read.
