26 women have been missing in the raids on two sheltered homes running in Pratapgarh. In the sheltered housing shelters in Ashtabhujnagar and Achalpur it was foud tthat these womens were missing. By late night, only six women were found at these sheltered homes. Shelter inspectors are being questioned.
Awakhi is a Women shelter home in the city of Ashtabhujaanagar. On Wednesday, the District Magistrate Shambhu Kumar went for investigation. During this, the director told the number of women living in the shelter number 16. There was only one woman, Razia, on the spot. About other women, the director Rama Mishra had told that they went out to work. The administration waited for women till night. At 10 o'clock in the night, SDM Sadar SP Singh came to the shelter with Dalbal where three women were found.
The number of women in the register increased from 16 to 17. 14 women were missing from the shelter. On the question of SDM, the director said that today women might not return, they are being searched. Similarly, in the sheltered house of Achalpur, only three out of 15 women were present till night. Here, 12 women were found missing.
Rama Mishra, the director of Jagriti Mahila Swadhar Shelter located at Ashtabhujnagar, has also been the District President and Member of BJP Women's Front in 2013. She has been conducting women's shelter for more than three years.
