In reaction to defamatory posts and rumours against 2PM member and actor Lee Junho, JYP Entertainment took legal action, the entertainment firm and label announced in a statement on August 24.

"First, we want to express our gratitude to all the fans who always give our artists their unconditional love," JYP Entertainment said in the opening statement. The label went on to say that JYP Entertainment has filed a criminal complaint using evidence provided by fans and evidence gathered by the label because acts of slander and the circulation of false rumours against their singer have persisted. Additional measures for more forceful legal action are also being discussed.

The agency has also cautioned against encroaching on the artist's privacy or interfering with his business while he is in the airport, emphasising that doing so puts the 2PM member's safety in danger and might annoy other travellers.

JYP Entertainment declared in its closing statement that the company would keep working hard to defend the rights and safety of its artists and that it will take tough action against any actions that endanger their reputation.

Lee Junho is an actor, singer, and songwriter. In 2008, the performer made his professional debut with JYP Entertainment's 2PM boy band. After that, he made his acting debut in 2013 with the film "Cold Eyes." Two years later, Lee Junho released his first compilation album in Korea under the name "One," and in 2017 he made his solo debut in that country.

At the 58th Baeksang Arts Awards in 2022, Lee Junho took home the prizes for "Most Popular Actor" and "Best Actor - Television."
