Lucknow: The Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh is all set to provide a 'digital locker' facility to 3.6 crore ration cardholders in the state. With the help of this, ration cardholders will no longer have any problem in getting rations anywhere in the country. According to information provided by the Chief Minister's Office on Saturday, the information technology department of the state government has included the task of providing a 'Digi Locker' facility to the state's ration cardholders in its 100-day action plan. On getting this facility, the quota holders will not be able to refuse to give a ration to the beneficiary on the pretext of deficiencies in the ration card.

For this, the state government has expedited the process of converting the data of ration card holders into digital format. The big advantage of keeping the ration card in the Digi locker will be that under the 'One Nation One Card' scheme, it will be easier to get ration anywhere in the entire country. At the same time, there will be no fear of losing, spoiling or bursting the ration card. At the same time, on the cheap street of the government, the shopkeeper will not be able to refuse to give rations on the pretext of lack of a ration card.

Along with this, the information about taking ration will be recorded digitally on the ration card, which will help to know when which beneficiary has received how much ration. Officials of the Information and Technology Department have been directed to complete necessary action at the earliest to provide Digi Locker for ration cards of 3.6 crore people in the state.
