Vidisha: In Madhya Pradesh, 3 persons of the same family who had gone for a walk at the Barethi dam on the Betwa river in Kurwai town of Vidisha district lost their lives while taking selfies. However, a 12-year-old girl has been rescued. CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan has expressed grief over the matter and announced financial assistance of Rs 4 lakh each to the next of kin of those who died. Azam Khan, a resident of Ward 5 of Kurwai, got married 8 days ago. He had gone to The Barethi Dam, 4 km from the city, along with his wife Fiza, sister Alfiya, cousin Altaf, Alia and two other children on Sunday evening.

After roaming here, the family members were taking selfies on the side of the dam. Due to this, Altaf, Alfia, Fiza and Alia fell into the river due to the loss of balance. Due to this, Azam tried to remove the four, but they were able to get only Alia out. On their request for help, the trio was evacuated with the help of Ahmed Khan and Rajjan, the employees present there. By then, they were breathing, but when the condition became serious, they were rushed to a local hospital, where all three died due to treatment.

Earlier, in November 2021, a boy was making a video of himself with his friend on the Itarsi-Nagpur railway track in Madhya Pradesh. Then he was hit by the train which took his life. Similarly, many kinds of incidents keep coming to light from all over the country every day. The only request to all of you is that you should not risk your life while taking videos and selfies.
