Srinagar: An encounter between security forces and terrorists took place at two places simultaneously in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. Altaf Ahmad Veergati, SPO of Jammu and Kashmir Police martyred in an encounter with terrorists at Beerwah in Budgam district. A young man is also being injured. There were reports of hiding of terrorists in Beerwah.

After this, the security forces started a search operation in the area. As the security forces approached the hideout, the militants opened fire. According to Kashmir Zone Police, the name of the SG CT injured in the Budgam encounter is Manzoor Ahmed. Currently, he has been admitted to the hospital where he is undergoing treatment. An encounter between security forces and militants has also taken place in the Badgam area of Shopian district.

According to the Kashmir Zone Police, three Lashkar-e-Taiba militants have been lynched in Shopian encounter, arms and ammunition recovered from their possession. At present, a search operation is going on in the area. It is being told that late-night security forces had received secret information about hiding the terrorists. This was followed by a search operation by the security forces.
