Chandigarh: The Punjab Bandh on September 25 has been held on behalf of farmers' organisations in a dispute over agriculture bills. For this, 31 farmers' organisations have been ready to unite. Punjab Bandh on 25th September has been called on behalf of the All India Farmers Struggle Coordination Committee. In this connection, the representatives of farmers' organizations had made a review meeting at Moga on Saturday. The Kisan Mazdoor Struggle Committee has already called for a rail Roko agitation between September 24 and 26.

The president of the revolutionary Farmers Union, Darshan Pal said that those who support Punjab Bandh mainly include Bharti Kisan Union (revolutionary), Kirti Kisan Union, Bharti Kisan Union (Ekta Ugarya), Bhakiu (Doaba), Bhakiu (Lakhowal) and Bhakiu (Kadiyan) etc. The central government has faced the opposition from the farmers of Punjab and Haryana for the three recent agriculture bills passed in Parliament.

Not only that, NDA's oldest helper, Shiromani Akali Dal MP and Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal in Modi government had also resigned from the cabinet opposing the bills. In Punjab, the main opposition Aam Aadmi Party has announced on Monday to support the Punjab Bandh on September 25. Against three Agriculture Bills, Aam Aadmi Party issued a statement stating that Aam Aadmi Party's Punjab unit has announced full support to the farmers ' call for a state-wide Bandh on September 25 against the anti-agriculture law.
