Raipur: Increasing calamities and cases of incidents have created havoc in the hearts and minds of the people. Four people, including sanitation workers, have lost their lives due to the effects of poisonous gas in the septic tank in Mungeli district of Chhattisgarh. On this occasion, Mungeli police officials said on Tuesday that four people have died during the cleaning of the septic tank in Marracona village under Sargaon Nagar Panchayat area of the district. The work of cleaning the tank was done in the house of Mansaram Kaushik, resident of Marrakona village. After this, when a member of the family was looking inwards, he fainted and fell into it.
Police officials said that when two other family members went to the tank to take him out, both did not come out, and just after that when the sweeper went in, he also fainted and fell there. Officials said that when the four did not get out, the villagers informed the police about it. He said that the police took the bodies out and sent it for postmortem. Officials said the deceased have been identified as Akhileshwar Kaushik (40), Gourishankar Kaushik (28), and Ramkhilavan Kaushik (45) and cleaning worker Subhash Dagour (35) of the same family.
Police officials said that according to the information so far, all have died due to leakage of poisonous gas in the tank. The police have registered a case. Senior state officials told that Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has expressed grief over this accident.
