New Delhi: After sending 2 Pakistani officials to their country for spying in Delhi last month, the Ministry of External Affairs has asked Pakistan to reduce the staff of the Pakistan High Commission in Delhi by 50%. In return, India will reduce its staff by 50% from the Indian High Commission in Pakistan.

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) summoned the in-charge of the Pakistan High Commission on Tuesday after transporting two Pakistani officials arrested in Delhi on charges of espionage and told them that India had several times expressed concern about the activities of their High Commission officials. The Foreign Ministry told the Pakistan official that people belonging to the Pakistan High Commission are engaged in espionage and have continued contact with terrorist organizations. It is noteworthy that the activities of two Pakistani officials were caught red-handed on 31 May last month, after which they were sent back to Pakistan.

While his officers were involved in activities that do not suit their privileged position in the High Commission. Meanwhile, Pakistan is constantly trying to prevent the officials of the Indian High Commission in Islamabad from doing their legitimate diplomatic work.
