Corona has broken everyone's back. Everyone is facing financial troubles due to the lockdown. At the same time, a news has come out from Mandla district that is surprising. Angry laborers, including the village engineer, sarpanch, assistant secretary and supervisor were tied to a tree and taken hostage in the village panchayat Bhikampur of district residence on Wednesday. After getting the information, the police station in-charge explained to the workers, then the workers left them after one and a half hours.

In fact, the workers said that even after hard work, they became angry after not getting paid. The laborers tied Sarpanch Lakhan Gontia, Sub Engineer Arvind Mishra and Assistant Secretary Bihari Lal and Supervisor all four to the Mahua tree in a rope in the village panchayat Bhikampur due to non-payment of wages for the fencing.

As the information about the incident came to the Chief Executive Officer of the district residence, then immediately gave it to the SDM. The SDM immediately transported the station in-charge to the spot. Reaching the spot, the station in-charge heard their problems and assured that the remaining wages would be paid as soon as possible. The workers left all four on the assurance. On Wednesday, under the MNREGA, the work of fencing of Prahlad Gontia was going on. All engineers reached Arvind Mishra to inspect it. On seeing them, the workers became angry and they demanded to pay the wages of the 6-year-old rag bandhan. But on not getting any assurance, the workers tied everyone, including the sub-engineer, to the tree.
