The Punjab Police has stepped up its investigation in the case of 29-year-old ISS son Balwant Singh Mullani, in the case registered against former Punjab DGP Sumedh Singh Saini. In this episode, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been formed by the district police. Saini has already got anticipatory bail from Mohali district court in this case.

The court has ordered them to join Investigation in seven days. According to the information, SP Harmandeep Hans will lead the SIT. Apart from them, DSP Investigation Bikramjit Singh and SHO Rajiv Kumar of Matour police station are also in the team. This team will soon call Saini to join the investigation. Harmandeep Singh Hans himself confirmed the formation of SIT. While other people named in the case are also preparing to arrest the police.

It is mentioned that in 1991 when Sumedh Singh Saini was posted as SSP Chandigarh, there was a terrorist attack on him. He was saved in this. While four of his security personnel were killed in this case. It is alleged that after this, on the orders of Saini, Chandigarh Police forcefully raised senior IAS son Balwant Singh Mullani from his house in Mohali. Please tell that he was in the post of JE in Sitco Chandigarh. The family alleged that he did not return home after that. This case first reached the Supreme Court through the Punjab and Haryana High Court. It was rejected by the Supreme Court. After this, after the arrival of some new things and facts by the family, a case has been lodged at the Matour police station in Mohali. A case has been registered against eight people including Saini.
