Four rakes of agricultural products have been sent to Bangladesh. Four rakes of essential agricultural products including dry chillies, turmeric and ginger is sent. South Central Railway informed that all the products have been sent from different stations in Bangladesh zone.

South Central Railway is constantly operating goods and parcel trains besides sending agricultural products to Bangladesh to ensure that the supply chain, especially essential commodities, remain intact in the country. A railway official gave information about this. Apart from this, in a statement issued by the railways, during the nationwide lockdown, the services of the zone have crossed the boundaries of the country, in which essential goods are also being transported to the neighbouring country, Bangladesh. Four rakes of essential agricultural products have been successfully sent from various stations in the zone. A statement issued by the railway stated that a rack with 2,477 tonnes of dry chilli has been loaded and dispatched from Tadepalligudem station in Bangladesh to Darshan station on 12 May.

Apart from this, a rake consisting of 42 wagons with 2,472 tonnes of onions was sent from Nagarsol station to Darshan station on 26 May. From May 26 and 27, Reddipalam railway station to Benapole railway station consisted of two rakes out of 42 wagons with a total of 4928 tonnes of dry chillies, turmeric and ginger. SCR General Manager Gajanan Mallya has praised the marketing efforts of Guntur officials and employees. He assured the freight customers that all possible help would be given by Railway Bangladesh. At this time the whole world is struggling with corona crisis. The economic situation of all countries is becoming worrisome.
