Commit to not checking social media during meals with family and friends, and when playing with children or talking with a partner. Make sure social media doesn’t interfere with work, distracting you from demanding projects and conversations with colleagues. 

Do not take your phone with you while sleeping: It has two  benefits first it will help you stay away from social media at night and your mind will remain fresh while  in the morning also it phone is not the first thing you get. New Hobbies: Try something new, add some new hobbies in your daily routine to fill your spare time. You could learn a new skill or do something you've always wanted to do but never had the time. You'll probably surprise yourself at how much free time you have when you stop mindlessly scrolling through your newsfeed.

Treat yourself: If you are a student then first complete a tast and then treat yourself to use social media. You might not buy an artisanal coffee every day or get your nails done every week, but you may reward yourself with these kinds of small treats when you feel like you deserve it. So think of social media in the same way: only allow yourself screen time when you've achieved something or you've  something productive first. It will reduce the time you use social media.
